Minders keeps all of your posts and their attachments — photos, audio, and video — as files, and it uses iCloud Drive to back them up and keep them in sync across your devices.

How it works

When you add or edit a post, Minders saves the change on your device right away, so the app works whether or not iCloud is available. If iCloud Drive is turned on, Minders then copies those changes into iCloud Drive in the background. That does two things for you:

• Backup. Your posts and attachments are stored safely in iCloud, so they aren’t lost if something happens to your device.
• Sync. The same posts appear on every device signed in to your iCloud account — add something on your iPhone and it shows up on your Mac.

Why iCloud Drive matters

Without iCloud Drive, Minders still works, but your posts and attachments live only on this device.

If you uninstall Minders — or lose or replace your device — anything that wasn’t synced to iCloud will be gone and can’t be recovered.

Turning on iCloud Drive is the only way to make sure your data is backed up and available on your other devices.

Once iCloud Drive is on, Minders will begin backing up and syncing your posts and attachments automatically.
